I just left the Stampin’ Addicts Meet & Greet at Convention.  It was so much fun!  I so enjoyed getting to finally put a face to a name.  For so many of us, it was as if we already knew each other even though we were meeting face to face for the first time.

I did take some pictures of the evening . . . .

First up is Jantink and Dawn Griffin (one of SU’s top demos!)

You can’t tell by these pictures, but it was a mad, swapping evening!  Every where I looked the swaps were flying! ( so to speak)  When we got back to the room, of course we had to look at all our swaps again.  And an amazing thing happened . . . . our knew SU Build a Bears apparently decided they needed to get in on the action – We looked over, and there they were, exchanging their first swaps.   Isn’t it just precious?

Okay, so maybe I’m just a little giddy!  But it was a great evening, and I had an awesome time meeting everyone and of course, swapping!

Convention Update!

Today has been incredible.   We started out the day with Shelli showing us gift ideas  -ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!  I can’t wait to get home and make some of these.

First up is a chipboard coaster using the Medallion Stamp Set.

Convention Update!

First up this morning was a demonstration of My Digital Studio.  I am so in love -it is great software and looks very intuitive.  Comes in mac or pc version.  You can do techniques like tearing, you can do punches,  you can rotate stamps, change the size, color them, make scrap pages, scrap books (multiple album choices), cards, and I’m sure I’m forgetting something.  It was awesome!  It should be available for demos to order sometime in September!!!

Next up was a preview of the Build a Bear Workshop stamps and dies.  I wasn’t too keen on these before, but the cards made with the stamps set are so cute, quick and easy, I’m changing my mind!   They used the dies and magnet sheets to create the clothes for “paper dolls, then put a magnet on the bear diecuts and put them on a magnetized board for play.  Soooo cute!

Then,  guess who should come out on stage. . .  . .

This was the announcement that today’s new memento mall item is a SU Build a Bear – so cute. . . .

Of course Marni and I couldn't resist these cute guys!

Aren’t they just darling!  I’m now officially excited about the Build A Bear products that are available Sept 1!

Here’s a quick shot of the entertainment that opened convention this morning – I missed all the  shots of the cool moves they were doing.  These ladies were awesome.  The group included a couple of 2012 Olympic hopefuls.

Sorry I didn’t get more pics from the gathering place today.  I HAD to stand in line for the Bear – you understand don’t you?

I did however get my pic taken with Jan Tink!  That was cool.

So we are having such a good time already!    There were some wonderful things in the Memento Mall!

The Hoodie!

I walked through the area where the decor elements displays were set up.  It’s so awesome to see them in real life.

I really liked how they used the stencil on the front of this album.

And they had samples out that were created using the digital scrapbooking software!

There’s more – but I can’t rotate the pics so that you can see them well from my laptop!  I’ll have to take them again – More when I can!

Oh, here’s a pic of a swap I saw – it was her last one, so I just got to take a pic of it – but I really liked it!

Cool Swap - that I didn't get!
